The ICUB ward, with an area of 416 sq. meters, was officially opened as of April 21, 2006, and it is located at the first floor of the hospital, next to the open heart surgery operating room. It includes 8 beds for adults, one of which is inside the isolation room. The ward includes the examination room, workroom, isolation room, nurses' lounge, a sluice room, pharmaceutical and equipment warehouse, the personnel locker room, and WC for personnel and patients. 
The equipment available in ICUB includes the following:
-Three-section electronic beds which are folded from three parts, the brand of which is LINAK. All beds of ICUB have ripple mattresses. 
-Eight full-option monitoring systems, with the model of SAADAT NOVIN51180, and one SAADAT portable monitor system. 
-One FLATRON Central Monitoring System.
-Four GRAPHNET ventilators and one ELISEE760-740 portable ventilator.
-Eight central suctions and one portable suction. 
-Infusion pump, syringe pumps and blood warmer.
- Intra aortic balloon pump.
-One portable radiology device, specific to the ward, named SIMENSE. 
-One Nasal High Flow AIRVO2 device.
-One ABG device or gasometry to perform ABG in the ward. 
-On camera for remote meeting.
-One dialyzer for performing hemodialysis.
-One CRRT device for critical conditions.
-One Emergency Trolley, with full equipment and two electroshocks. 
-The patients of ICUB, diagnosed with coronary artery occlusion, the need for heart valves replacement, and congenital heart diseases, enter the ICU after operating room. In case the patients are in a stable state, they are transferred to the heart surgery ward or ICUA after 48 hours. 
-In each shift, one Anesthesia Resident is responsible for treatment affairs in this ward. The ward includes delivering different consultations, procedures, inserting CV-Line and ART-Line, tracheostomy, and any other treatment and critical care measures performed in the ward. 
-Echocardiography and portable ultrasound, performed according to the needs of the patients. 
It is worthy of note that considering the high satisfaction of patients and low complications and mortality, the hospital competes with the best treatment centers of Iran.
